She also specializes in providing comprehensive psychological assessments, including ADHD evaluations, academic accommodations, and neuropsychological testing to clarify diagnoses and assess cognitive functioning.

Above all, Dr. Romero is dedicated to providing therapy that bridges her understanding of human behavior with a warm, client-centered approach to help individuals achieve their goals.

See what she has to say about her treatment philosophy below:

“My treatment philosophy centers on helping you live a life aligned with your core values. I believe that understanding what truly matters to you provides the foundation and direction for goal-setting and personal growth. I tend to structure therapy around exploring your unique identity and understanding what brings genuine meaning to your life so we can work together to create lasting, intentional change.

I draw from various evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My approach weaves together these “cognitive-behavioral” techniques with methods that take into account your background and history, the way you experience emotions, and how trauma may have impacted you, all while keeping you at the center of the therapeutic process. This flexible yet structured approach allows me to adapt to your individuality, while also remaining focused on the goals we create together.

I understand that starting therapy and choosing the “right” therapist can be overwhelming. I do everything I can to create a transparent and supportive environment where you feel genuinely heard while taking those first steps. Once we build that comfort level together, the real work can begin and you can start moving towards the life you envision for yourself.”
